It’s tough to find pieces that look high-end and work for actually showcasing your jewelry. Today, I’m sharing a full layout we just wrapped up designing. This champagne gold style has been super popular lately, and it’s totally doable for both new shops and renovations—take a look and get some ideas!

Shop Layout & Customer Flow

We went with a symmetrical layout for this boutique, so the second customers walk in, they’ve got a clear view of everything. No cramped spaces, just easy walking room for shoppers.

Along the walls, we put horizontal glass display cases—great for everyday pieces like rings, bracelets, and earrings. Right in the center, there’s an island display area that’s the main focal point. That’s where you’d put your high-end necklaces or one-of-a-kind pieces. At the back, we left space for a lounge area with comfy benches, so customers can sit down, try on jewelry, and chat about custom orders without feeling rushed.

We also added recessed niches to the main wall—perfect for showing off statement pieces and adding some depth to the space. The walls are soft cream with champagne gold metal trim, and the floor is light wood. It keeps the shop from feeling too “commercial” and makes it feel warm and upscale for shoppers.

Breakdown of the Display Cabinets

The built-in niches on the feature wall are one of the best parts of this design. We fitted them with anti-glare spotlights, so they’re perfect for showcasing your most premium, unique jewelry or even brand decor. The lights shine down gently on the pieces, and the simple, uncluttered design keeps the focus on the jewelry—not the cabinets themselves. It’s an easy way to make your shop feel more high-end.

The frames are made of champagne gold stainless steel, so they’re tough and won’t tarnish or fade over time. The tops are ultra-clear tempered glass, so customers can lean in and see every detail of the jewelry from any angle. Inside, we used teal leather trays. The contrast between the warm champagne gold and cool teal really makes diamonds, gemstones, and pearls pop—you’d be surprised how much difference the tray color makes. Under each case, there’s a drawer for storage—great for stashing extra inventory, gift boxes, or cleaning supplies. Super practical for day-to-day shop life.

Right in the middle of the shop, we put a tall glass display tower with necklace busts. This is where you’d show off your fanciest necklaces or jewelry sets. Since it’s front and center, customers can’t miss it when they walk in—ideal for highlighting your flagship pieces.

Lighting Tips (Don’t Skip This!)

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about jewelry shops, it’s that lighting is make-or-break. Skimp on it, and your jewelry won’t shine like it should. We used all anti-glare lights in this design: spotlights in the wall niches to highlight key pieces, hidden LED strips inside the display cases to light up the trays evenly, and soft wall-washing lights to set the mood. We specifically avoided harsh, direct light because it causes glare and reflections—nothing turns a customer off faster than not being able to see a piece clearly. This way, the gemstones look as bright and natural as possible.

 Who This Layout Works For

- Independent jewelry boutiques (brick-and-mortar)
- Custom engagement ring and diamond studios
- Gemstone, pearl, and designer jewelry galleries
- Mid-to-high-end sterling silver jewelry shops

Every part of this design is customizable. We can adjust the sizes to fit your shop’s floor plan, swap the metal finish for rose gold, matte black, or polished silver, and even change the tray color to dark green, burgundy, or charcoal. The lighting system can be upgraded too. Just send us your shop’s layout, and we’ll tweak the design and make custom renderings for you.
