glass

With the continuous progress of technological society, glass has become an important material in daily life, production, and science and technology. Glass is an amorphous inorganic non-metallic material. It is generally made of a variety of inorganic minerals as the main raw material, and a small amount of auxiliary raw materials are added. of. The main component of glass is silicate double salt, which presents an amorphous solid with an irregular structure. It is widely used in buildings, handicrafts, electronics, medical treatment, chemistry, instrumentation, and nuclear power projects. When adding some metal oxides or salts, the glass can show different colors, that is, colored glass. And tempered glass made by physical or chemical methods is widely used in the automotive and construction industries.

Ant display uses high-quality glass to make display cabinets, including tempered glass, frosted glass, ultra-white glass, hot-bent glass, etc. They are mainly used in mobile phones kiosk, jewelry display cases, watch counters, food counters, and even retail shops. They can no only use to show products in a good way, but also protect items from being stolen. Also, make glass plates to keep clients away from foods. Glasses can also make walls and doors in the office, conference room, consultant room, etc. View glass material here and purchase one for your kiosk.

Classification of glass:

glassAccording to the process, glass can be divided into hot-melt glass, embossed glass, wrought glass, crystal colored glass, glazed glass, wire glass, polycrystalline glass, glass mosaic, tempered glass, laminated glass, insulating glass, dimming glass, luminous grass. According to production, it can be divided into an ordinary flat glass and deep-processed glass.

  • Ordinary flat glass

a. 3~4mm glass, this kind of glass is mainly used for the surface of the picture frame.

b. 5~6mm glass, mainly used for small-area transparent modeling of external wall windows, door leaves, etc.

c. 7~9mm glass is mainly used in large-area but frame-protected shapes such as indoor screens. mall kiosk also use 8-10mm glass

d. 9~10mm glass can be used for indoor large-area partitions, railings, and other decoration projects.

e. 11~12mm glass can be used for floor spring glass doors and partitions where there is a large flow of people.

f. The glass above 15mm is mainly used for large-area floor spring glass doors and whole glass walls of external walls. Usually need to be customized.

  • Deep processed glass

  1. Tempered glass. Tempered glass has strong hardness and is not easy to break. Even if it is broken, it will be broken in the form of particles without acute angles, which greatly reduces the harm to the human body.
  2. Frosted glass. Frosted glass uses a frosted process, and people cannot see the inside through the frosted glass, which has a certain degree of privacy.
  3. Sandblasted glass. Sandblasted glass adopts sandblasting process, and its performance is basically similar to frosted glass.
  4. Patterned glass. It is a kind of flat glass manufactured by the rolling method. Its biggest feature is that it is transparent and opaque, and it is mostly used in decoration areas such as toilets.
  5. Wired glass. It is a kind of impact-resistant flat glass made by embedding metal wire or metal mesh in the glass plate by the calendering method, which will only form radial cracks when impacted. It is mostly used in high-rise buildings and highly volatile workshops.
  6. Hollow glass. The glue joint method is often used to keep the two pieces of glass at a certain interval. The interval is dry air, and the surrounding is sealed with a sealing material. It is mainly used in decoration projects that require sound insulation and heat insulation.
  7. Laminated glass. Laminated glass is generally composed of two pieces of glass and an organic glue layer between the glass. It is very safe to use, even if it is damaged, the fragments still adhere to the glue layer to avoid hurting people. It is mostly used for decoration projects with safety requirements. When the number of interlayers is large, it is called bulletproof glass and is mostly used in banking projects.
  8. Hot-bent glass. Curved glass made of high-quality flat glass heated and softened in a mold, and then annealed. Beautiful style and smooth lines.

glassProduction Process

①Pre-processing of raw materials. Crush the bulk raw materials (quartz sand, soda ash, limestone, feldspar, etc.), dry the wet raw materials, and remove iron from the iron-containing raw materials to ensure the quality of the glass.

② Preparation of batch materials.

③Melting. The glass batch material is heated at a high temperature (1550~1600 degrees) in a tank kiln or a crucible kiln to form a uniform, bubble-free liquid glass that meets the molding requirements.

④Forming. Process liquid glass into products of required shapes, such as flat plates, various utensils, etc.

⑤ Heat treatment. Through annealing, quenching, and other processes, the internal stress, phase separation, or crystallization of the glass are eliminated or generated, and the structural state of the glass is changed.
