When we talk about beauty retail, the stereotypical impression that often comes to mind is the closed and crowded island counters in shopping malls: salespeople sell products through glass, customers can only queue up outside the counters to try on makeup, and the entire shopping experience is cramped and passive. They just leave after making a purchase, with almost no desire to stay. But the MALAK beauty collection store design we are going to share today has fundamentally broken the shackles of traditional retail counters. With a spatial logic that is completely centered on user experience, it has created a truly immersive beauty shopping scene.

Open circulation
From the floor plan, it can be clearly seen that the entire space adopts a circular, unobstructed and open circulation route: After customers enter through the eye-catching MALAK golden illuminated storefront at the entrance, they can walk along the circulation route to all areas, without any visual blind spots or circulation obstructions caused by traditional counters. The space is clearly divided into the entrance brand display area, the central island makeup/perfume experience area, the wall-mounted skincare high cabinet area, the central experience bar counter, the fragrance theme area and the corner rest area. Each functional area is naturally connected, without causing customers to feel exhausted from "walking around".
Unlike the traditional beauty store design where the counter is enclosed and the products are locked in the middle, the central island cabinet here is completely open. Customers can approach the products from any direction, freely take them and try on makeup. There is no physical barrier from the counter and no pressure from the sales staff throughout the process, truly achieving "independent store browsing". Even more ingeniously, the structural columns in the space were not made into rigid obstrucments but were beautified with wooden grilles and brand light boxes, transforming the structural disadvantages into display advantages - each column became an extension of the brand's visual appeal. When customers were shopping in the store, they could see posters of brands such as Estee Lauder and Dior at any time, gradually strengthening brand recognition.

Material and color
Golden metal frame: The frames of all display cabinets and tall cabinets are made of matte golden metal, which not only enhances the high-end feel of the space but also avoids the flamboyant and dazzling appearance of bright gold, perfectly matching the high-end tone of the beauty brand.
Wooden grille finish: Vertical grain wooden grilles are extensively used on the columns and walls. The warm wooden texture neutralizes the coldness and hardness of the metal, adding a soft atmosphere to the space. At the same time, the vertical grain visually raises the ceiling height, making the entire space more transparent.
Terrazzo flooring: Large-sized terrazzo tiles are laid throughout, which are wear-resistant and durable, meeting the frequent usage requirements of shopping malls. Meanwhile, the light gray base color makes the space cleaner and can perfectly set off the colors of beauty products.
Soft furnishings: The blue fabric sofa in the rest area and the high chairs in the experience area use soft elements to balance the coldness and hardness of the hard furnishings, enhancing the comfort of the space and making customers willing to stay longer.

Central island display cabinet
Pink gold multi-layer island cabinet: Light pink cabinet body + golden frame, multi-layer open structure, suitable for displaying high-frequency trial products such as cosmetics and perfumes. Customers can freely take and try on makeup. The multi-layer design also maximizes the display volume. At the same time, the light pink cabinet body is gentle and fair, perfectly complementing the colors of makeup products.
Platinum Long Island Cabinet: White countertop + golden stand, long open structure, suitable for displaying skin care sets, festival gift boxes, and new product limited editions. It has a strong visual impact and can quickly capture customers' attention. When used for theme displays, the effect is maximized.

High cabinets
It adopts a design of a golden frame and white adjustable shelves. The height of the shelves can be flexibly adjusted according to the height of the products, making it suitable for displaying skin care and makeup products of different specifications. The top is reserved with replaceable brand light boxes, allowing for the replacement of brand logos at any time and flexible adaptation to the display needs of different brands. The bottom is equipped with white storage cabinets with diamond-shaped textures, which are used to store inventory, keep the space tidy and prevent the accumulation of inventory from affecting the appearance.

Brand-exclusive display cabinet
For core partner brands such as Estee Lauder, a Navy blue exclusive display cabinet was specially designed: using the brand's classic Navy blue as the main color of the cabinet body, paired with golden trim, it not only highlights the brand's high-end tone but also perfectly integrates with the overall light luxury style of the space. The cabinet body light box is printed with the information of the brand's star products (such as Double Wear long-lasting Foundation), allowing customers to identify the brand at a glance, strengthening brand awareness. At the same time, it also provides a high-end display space for cooperative brands and enhances the value of brand cooperation.

Special display stand
Black A-shaped rack: Triangular structure + black cabinet body, suitable for displaying small samples, promotional items, and new product trial packs. Placed at the entrance or beside the movement line, it can quickly attract customers' attention and has an excellent effect during promotional activities.
Perforated board display cabinet: Black and red color combination + perforated board structure, which can flexibly adjust the display position. It is suitable for showcasing small cosmetic products such as lipstick and eyeshadow. It has strong interactivity, and customers can freely try colors without any counter obstruction.
Experience Bar Counter: An open bar counter with high stools, marked "BEAUTY STATION", provides customers with a professional space for makeup try-on and skincare experiences, transforming "selling goods" into "service", and generating purchase intentions among customers during the experience.

For the perfume category, a special fragrance theme area has been created: With a large Dior Miss Dior light box as the background, a romantic fragrance atmosphere is created. Paired with a central island cabinet for displaying perfume products, customers can freely sample scents and immerse themselves in experiencing different fragrances. This completely bids farewell to the passive experience of traditional counters where "the teller sprays for you to smell", turning fragrance selection into a kind of enjoyment.
